Retiring today is complex. At Longleaf Wealth Management Group we provide retirement counseling and independent investment advice to help you manage your retirement goals. With 35 years of experience in financial services we pursue the answers to your tough questions.
We collaborate with you to strive to determine a suitable substitute for you and then create and implement a comprehensive custom retirement plan that’s based on your personal goals and financial situation. A retirement plan designed to meet your retirement needs. We’ll then guide and coach you to pursue your goals.
Portfolio Management is the process of designing and executing a cohesive investing strategy based on your goals, time horizon and risk tolerance. Each of our client’s is as different as saving for a house is a different strategy from saving for retirement. Through our discovery meetings we strive to identify all of your investments: 401k’s, company stock, investments, savings and cash.
Based on this information we implement our agreed upon investment strategy and provide ongoing portfolio oversight, adjusting your portfolio when needed. This includes asset allocation. Where will your assets reside, taxable or tax-advantaged accounts? Market fluctuations might cause a portfolio to get off course from the original plan, we’ll rebalance for your portfolio for you.
Tax minimization is part of portfolio management. We consider the tax implications of our investment decisions and strive to find strategies or lower your exposure to current and future taxes.
Among the Class of 2019, 69% of college students took out student loans, and they graduated with an average debt of $29,900, including both private and federal debt. Meanwhile, 14% of their parents took out an average of $37,200 in federal parent PLUS loans.*
But how and when does one begin to save for one’s children’s college education? We’ll walk you through the alphabet soup of available college education savings tools like an Education Savings Account (ESA) or Education IRA, 529 Plan and UTMA or UGMA (Uniform Transfer/Gift to Minors Act) and determine which vehicle may work best for you.
So you know, this isn’t all on you. We’ll also provide you with some ideas on how your student can get involved in the effort. At the very least this will help them establish healthy money habits for the future.
Our approach to wealth management is to strive to ensure our recommendations are personalized and encompass areas that matter most to you and your family. We’ll work with you to identify opportunities and obstacles you may be facing in meeting your goals.
Based on those conversations, we create a customized wealth management experience for you and your family. Our view is building wealth is more than accumulating money. Our view is it’s about building a better future and creating possibilities for you and your family.
Our client base ranges from young individuals just beginning to earn an income, business owners looking to expand, sell or create succession planning, corporate employees looking to diversify their portfolios, to pre-retirees and retirees. What do they share in common? They all would rather spend time with their families and loved ones and leave the financial matters in the hands of a professional.
Just as the Longleaf Pine goes through different life stages investors experience a similar journey. Each different stage of one’s investing life cycle may require an adjustment to your financial planning strategy. We counsel our clients that investing is a lifelong process, and the sooner one starts, potentially the better off your results be in the long run.
We find that most of the people we speak with, and have as clients, all had one similar issue: disciplining themselves to save an appropriate portion of their income on a regular basis so they can meet their daily living goals and long-term investing goals. Additionally, most are not enthralled with investing and reviewing their financial situation of a regular basis.
Sound like you? If so, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss how we might become your professional financial advisor.
